DJ PROFESSIONAL COURSE

Description

This comprehensive course is the fastest way for a newbie to prepare to be on the big stage. After completion of this course, we place you in one of the big clubs in Los Angeles.

This course is comprised of 30 hours of sessions. We have a flexible schedule, therefore, for those who are eager, we will work with you to get you prepared as fast as possible. By the end of these intense 1-on-1 sessions, you will have the skills necessary to perform anywhere and with confidence. Los Angeles DJ School is closely connected with the biggest nightclubs in Los Angeles & Orange County (Avalon Hollywood, Create, Exchange LA, OHM, Heat, Sutra). For those who complete our DJ PROFESSIONAL COURSE, we place you in one of these awesome venues so that you can perform in front of a live crowd.

You will learn:
• Beat Matching – The first step is to ensure your ear is trained to match up your current song with the next.
• Mixing – The exact time in which you bring a new song in, along with when to fade-out/cut-out is critical.
• Equipment – We only teach on equipment used at the biggest clubs and largest festivals in the world, the Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS and XDJ-1000 decks w/ DJM-900NXS mixer. We will review what every single button and knob is for and practice away! We’ll ensure you know every knob, button and connection so that you can quickly troubleshoot.
• Speed – This course is based on practicing what work. This hands on learning builds confidence that trains your quick response mechanism to deal with anything that comes up (distractions, missed quepoints, lost crowd, etc).
• Track Selection – Track selection and energy are the most critical choices you make on stage.
• FX – We’ll ensure you know the most widely used sound FX techniques this amazing equipment has to offer.
• DJ Transition – We’ll ensure you know how to transition with others on the stage.
• Performance – While putting in your hours on the equipment, we’ll talk about reading the crowd, energy levels and practice quick transitions to keep the dance floor going.
• Appearance – Once you are skilled as a DJ, you are ready to build a presence, on stage and online. We show you how. Using online platforms and learning how and who to connect with.
• Placement – Los Angeles DJ School is closely connected with the biggest nightclubs in Los Angeles & Orange County (Avalon Hollywood, Create, Exchange LA, OHM, Heat, Sutra). After completing this course, we place you in one of these awesome venues so that you can perform in front of a live crowd.
